TOGETHER WE ARE UNITED

Villanovans are driven to do more, to be greater, to change the world around us. That purpose also reflects inward, as we commit to listening, learning and coming together in new ways, to create a Villanova that is greater for all. In ways big and small, alumni, parents and friends are providing support and creating opportunities to fulfill this mission.

Committed to Doing Better

Building a truly inclusive community in which all can thrive is a central tenet of Villanova’s Augustinian Catholic mission. In a way it never has before, the University has renewed its commitment to these principles and collectively mobilized its efforts to unite our community.

All Can Be of Service

From crowdfunding gifts of $25 to a transformative $1.5 million challenge on 1842 Day, philanthropy of every size has helped LEVEL create opportunities for students to participate in meaningful Villanova experiences. In honor of the student group’s 10th anniversary, we look back at their first inclusive service trip.

When you support Villanova—from the Annual Fund and Scholarship Fund, to the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and more—your gift shapes the experiences that unite us.

VOICES FROM CAMPUS

Villanova students, faculty and staff are finding ways to come together and unite our community across distances and differences. A livestream broadcast on 1842 Day, Villanova’s annual day of giving, shared insights from those committed to this call.

“Whether you play offense or defense, when you’re working as a team, you perform better. And certainly, in the area of diversity, equity, and inclusion, we all need to be part of this. It's not just for our Black student-athletes. It's not just for our women's student-athletes. We all have to be part of it.”

- Malcolm Grace, Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance

“We wanted to bring our now several years old diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts to a new level. And so we put together what we call the anti-racism initiative…It's a series of action steps that will improve and support our Black faculty, staff, and students.”

- Adele Lindenmeyr, PhD, Dean, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences

“The Veteran Center is going to be a thriving and growing space for student veterans to come together, do some networking, do some learning, do some growing. And really, if they want to, just hang out and be themselves for a couple hours.”

- Michael Brown, Director, Office of Veterans and Military Service Members

“We have been livestreaming two of the Masses on Sunday night, which, in some ways, has brought about deeper connections—not only on campus itself, but connecting to the larger Villanova community around the country and around the world.”

- Rev. Kevin M. DePrinzio, OSA, PhD, Vice President, Office for Mission and Ministry
