REGISTER: RN Refresher Skills Immersion Only

Thinking about returning to the workforce? Have you kept your license active but have not practiced in over a year? Meet your professional development goals and customize a program that works for you. Villanova has developed a program consisting of didactic discussions offered as synchronous VIRTUAL sessions and a two-day optional hands-on immersion experience to ease your reentry into nursing or just recharge your nursing practice. 

Participants receive a comprehensive Systems Update and Review of all body systems. You will also refresh your knowledge of medications and metabolic pathways with a Pharmacology Review and Update. Unique to this Villanova Review Course is a certification in Mental Health First Aid USA® which will introduce you to risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems and appropriate supports. Continue your certificate with an optional two-day immersion experience and practice technical skills review, and peripheral IV insertion and management in a State-of-the Art Simulation Center.

Upon completion of this review course, you will receive an RN Refresher Certificate. By taking the entire program, you can earn enough contact hours to meet your PA mandatory relicensure continuing education requirements for a 2-year period. If you have an INACTIVE license, this program WILL NOT MEET the requirements to reactivate your license. If your Professional License is from a state other than Pennsylvania, please contact your State Board of Nursing to confirm that this course will meet your needs.

Location: all classes are virtual Thursday evening 6:00 pm – 9:30 pm

• October 17: Semester Recess NO CLASS THIS WEEK
• October 28: Class is Monday NOT Thursday
• November 21: Mental Health First Aid (3 pm – 9 pm)
• November 28: Thanksgiving Holiday NO CLASS THIS WEEK
• December 11: Class is Wednesday NOT Thursday
• December 12 and 13: Skills Immersion: On Campus from 9 am – 4 pm

Fees

RN Refresher Certificate with Skills Immersion: $1,949
Total Contact Hours: 60 (registration closed)

RN Refresher Certificate Only: $1,549
Total contact hours: 49 (registration closed)

RN Refresher Skills Immersion Only: $500
Total contact hours = 11

Participants MUST attend 80% of each day, complete and submit an evaluation to receive a certificate of completion.
