Event Coordinators' Network (ECN)

ECN’s mission is to provide faculty, staff, and students with a centralized repository to aid in effectively coordinating events at the Villanova University through its primary areas of focus, which include networking, resources, and development.

The Event Coordinators’ Network holds one meeting a month during the academic year. The types of meetings can vary from Brown Bag lunches to off campus visits to local resources.  We encourage you to share ideas for potential meeting topics by emailing events@villanova.edu.

VU Event Planning 102: A Workshop – The “C’s” of Planning

Tuesday, October 16, 2018 - CEER 001

Join the Villanova Event Coordinators’ Network (ECN) for its second half-day workshop. These sessions will cover construction, catering, customization, commencement and calendar updates. The ECN workshop will also be a great networking opportunity for event planners across campus.

8:30am - Registration and light breakfast

9:00am-9:45am  - Construction: Get an update on the Lancaster Avenue project and campus development including timelines for various aspects of the projects as well as tips for parking, planning and communication for your events.

9:45am-10:30am – Catering: Find out how to make event planning easier by hearing from the ECN Committee about catering options for on campus events.

10:30am – Break

10:45am – 11:30amCustomization: Make your event stand out by creating custom invitations, posters, mailings and custom gifts. Hear about the many options from Graphic Services and the University Bookstore to assist with your next event.

11:30am – 12:00pm – Commencement & Calendar: Stay informed with the latest information and details about Commencement weekend. Additionally, learn about the university events calendar and how to publish your event.

12:00pm – Tour of CEER (optional): Get a guided tour through the Center for Engineering Education and Research (CEER), to learn about the College of Engineering’s teaching and research facilities. Also learn about what spaces you can use for your events!
