Engineering Seniors Recognized for Academic Excellence and Meritorious Service
2019 Dean's Award Recipients
On April 25, 2019, Villanova University College of Engineering returned to Overbrook Country Club for the 44th annual Dean’s Awards Dinner to honor graduating seniors.
Interim Dean Dr. Randy Weinstein began the reception with a welcome for students, parents, faculty and staff. Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, Dr. Andrea Welker, introduced the awards, and department chairs made the presentations to their students. This year, the Academic Excellence Award was presented to 27 students, the top 10 percent by cumulative grade point average in each engineering major:

During the introduction of each awardee, the presenter shared the student’s proudest moment and post-graduation plans. Among the companies hiring the College’s best and brightest are Accenture, Deloitte, DuPont, Ernst & Young, Johnson Matthey, JP Morgan Chase, Lockheed Martin, Mars Wrigley, Microsoft, Parsons Corporation, Praxair, Urban Engineers and Walt Disney. Several students are pursuing advanced degrees in law, medicine and engineering.
Additional awards, including each department’s outstanding undergraduate medallion, will be presented at the College of Engineering Convocation Ceremony on Saturday, May 17.
