Orientation Counselors

Questions are common for new students and families! If your question is unanswered on this website or in our printed material, please contact us—we're here to help.

You can find a checklist of items that need to be submitted to Villanova before the fall semester in myNova.

New students are required to attend New Student Orientation. There is no need to register in advance.

Knowing that you have some college experience already, we've tailored a specialized Transfer Orientation program just for you. This program has valuable information, tips and tricks and presentations to make sure you have a smooth transition. The program begins on Thursday, Aug. 22 and ends on Sunday, Aug. 25.

Villanova does not guarantee on-campus housing for transfer students. You should begin looking for off-campus housing. Many off campus students, including transfers, live at the Villas at Bryn Mawr and room with other transfers. This is one option for our students if you are looking for an apartment complex close to campus with a shuttle that runs right to Villanova's campus. To find a roommate, reach out to other transfers you see in the Facebook group and chat via Facebook or Instagram!

All Transfers will be assigned to our Transfer Counselor Team.  Transfer Counselors will be contacting you soon with information about the program.

You will get an email from your academic/transfer advisor. They will schedule an online meeting with you and walk you through what classes you should be taking and the registration process.

Absolutely! Our team of Transfer Counselors is more than happy to chat with anyone who may have questions. They went through the process themselves and can give you first-hand experience and advice. Contact us at to chat!

New Student Orientation begins Thursday, Aug. 22 with a Picnic just for Transfer Students in the Bartley Exchange at noon.  Orientation will continue through Sunday, Aug. 25.  Please park in the I-1 Garage on the corner of Ithan and Lancaster Avenues.

Yes, all food is provided during the Orientation Program. Please download the Nova Guides app for a complete list of campus dining service options.

The Family and Parent website has a list of area hotels, restaurants and attractions.

Essential hall items are available on-campus for students. We also list many local area stores and malls for your convenience.

Anyone needing assistance should contact an Orientation staff member and our Villanova Emergency Medical Service (VEMS) will be contacted immediately. Students or family members can also contact Public Safety at (610) 519-4444 anytime.
