Dr. Patti Kostelnak Joins FCN as Director of DNP-Nurse Anesthesia

Patti Kostelnak, DNAP, CRNA, has been named Director of the FCN Post-Baccalaureate Doctor of Nursing Practice-Nurse Anesthesia Program and will serve as a Clinical Associate Professor.

Highly skilled in leading and managing nurse anesthesia educational programs, Dr. Kostelnak brings demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, accreditation compliance, faculty oversight and student mentorship. She prioritizes the promotion of excellence in nurse anesthesia education within a supportive learning environment.

Most recently, Dr. Kostelnak served as Associate Professor and founding Director of the Nurse Anesthesia Program for South College, Nashville Campus, and held a part-time faculty position in Graduate Nursing at Youngstown State University. Her previous experience also includes roles as Program Director for St. Elizabeth Health Center School for Nurse Anesthetists in Youngstown, Ohio, and Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice at the Ohio State University.

Dr. Kostelnak earned her Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice at La Roche University in Pittsburgh, PA, an MSN from Youngstown State University, a Certificate of Completion from St. Elizabeth School for Nurse Anesthetists in Youngstown, Ohio, and a BSN from the University of Akron.
