Dr. Moeness Amin Delivers a Record Five Plenary Talks in 2013
Dr. Moeness Amin, director of the Center for Advanced Communications, delivered his fifth plenary talk of 2013 at the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) International Workshop on Computational Advances in Multi-Sensor Adaptive Processing (CAMSAP). Held in St. Martin, December 15-18, Dr. Amin presented on the topic of Compressive Sensing for Urban Radar.
Over the spring and summer of 2013, Dr. Amin gave other four plenaries on the broad topic of radar signal processing at the following international conferences:
- The International Review of Progress in Applied Computational Electromagnetics, Monterey, Calif., March 2013
- IET International Radar Conference, Xi’an, China, April 2013
- Statistics, Optimization, and Signal Processing Workshop, Darmstadt, Germany, June 2013
- European Signal Processing Conference, Marrakech, Morocco, September 2013
Dr. Amin has been on the faculty of Villanova University’s Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering since 1985. In 2002, he was named director of the College of Engineering’s Center for Advanced Communications, which was recently recognized in a report prepared for the NSF as “an excellent and rare example of how to sustain and grow a research operation in a smaller university.”
