Villanova Engineering Magazine Awarded Gold in International Creative Competition
The College of Engineering’s annual feature publication, Villanova Engineering magazine, has been named a Gold Award winner in the Hermes Creative Awards, an international competition for advertising, public relations, and marketing communications programs.
The spring 2011 issue, which was judged by communications professionals to “exceed the high standards of the industry norm,” featured coverage of the College’s Multidisciplinary Design Laboratory, engineering entrepreneurship program, the Thermal and Fluid Sciences Research Group, an interdisciplinary trip to the Philippines, and the launch of the NovaCANE STEM outreach program. It also showcased a dozen alumni whose generosity and commitment to the College helps improve the learning experience today’s students enjoy.
The Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals administers the Hermes Creative Awards to recognize outstanding work in more than 100 categories. The program attracts thousands of applicants annually. This year, judges reviewed more than 4,700 entries from across the United States and around the world.
