College of Engineering Medallion Winners
The College of Engineering Medallions
The faculty of the College of Engineering awards these medallions to honor and recognize those students who have excelled. This recognition is based on academic performance and demonstrated leadership. A medallion is generally presented to one student in each degree program.
Criteria for selection
The Robert E. White Chemical Engineering Award
A graduating senior who best combines performance in his or her Chemical Engineering studies with scholarship, dedication, leadership, and other qualities desirable for the successful application of an engineering education.
The Civil and Environmental Engineering Faculty Award
A graduating Civil Engineering student who has achieved academic excellence and has freely given of his or her time, energy, and talents to fulfill the mission of the University.
The Computer Engineering Outstanding Student Award
A graduating senior who has shown evidence of superior academic performance in his or her studies as a Computer Engineering student, along with outstanding commitment and leadership demonstrated in co-curricular activities such as engineering student organizations and project teams.
The Electrical Engineering Outstanding Student Award
A graduating senior who has shown evidence of superior academic performance in his or her studies as an Electrical Engineering student, along with outstanding commitment and leadership demonstrated in co-curricular activities such as engineering student organizations and project teams.
The Mechanical Engineering Outstanding Student Award
A graduating senior in Mechanical Engineering who has shown professionalism as evidenced by exemplary effort, character, and service, combined with academic achievement.
The Graduate Student Research Excellence Award
Graduate students who have completed their degree and have performed exemplary work in the area of research.
