Delaware Valley Regional High School Ethics Bowl

Congratulations to Conestoga High School, winner of the 2019 Delaware Valley Regional High School Ethics Bowl.  The team participated in a virtual playoff with Collegiate School (Richmond, VA) on February 24, 2020.  Conestoga won that round and advanced to the national competition at UNC/Chapel Hill which, unfortunately, was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Due to the pandemic, the eighth annual Delaware Valley Regional High School Ethics Bowl  will take place virtually  on Saturday, February 6, 2021, starting at 7:30 a.m. We anticipate that 10 teams will participate.

Here is a short video from a high school ethics bowl, including additional information about the origins of ethics bowl.

Students can find a video here of Villanova professors, going over three cases from the 2012 competition. This will give students an idea of the intellectual tenor of the ethics bowl.

Coaches can access a video here produced in June 2012 when Villanova professors conducted a training session. Be attentive to the changes to the ethics bowl competition noted in the official rules found here that may clash with what is said in the training. Where there are differences between the video and the official rules, the official rules are the authoritative source of information.
