2024-2025 FAFSA

After originally stating that schools were to receive processed FAFSA data in late January following the launch of the new FAFSA form on December 31, 2023, The U.S. Department of Education has announced that there will be significant processing delays related to the delivery of FAFSA data to schools. As a result, we will not begin to receive FAFSA submissions until mid-March at the earliest. For more information, please visit the 2024-2025 FAFSA.

SCHOLARSHIPS AND GRANTS

In general, scholarships are given based on merit that is defined by the scholarship program, and grants are given based on demonstrated financial need. A student is considered for Federal, State and Villanova Need-Based Grants simply by applying for financial assistance from Villanova University. Some merit-based scholarships require an application process while others do not. In the spectrum of educational funding, scholarships and grants are the "free money,” which do not need to be repaid.
