“East of Eternity”: A Lecture-Recital

Hear a collection of poetry by Emily Dickinson set to the music of Aaron Copland in a live concert with soprano Elizabeth Springuel and pianist Barbara Browne.  The poetry Copland chose to set focuses on common themes of Dickinson’s poetry such as life, death, nature, and eternity. A brief lecture explaining the music and its context will be given before the performance by Dr. Elizabeth-Jane McGuire.
