The Master of Business Taxation with Data Analytics (MBT) is a full-time, 12-month program for those seeking a career as a tax professional within the accounting industry. The MBT degree equips students with the multi-dimensional skills needed to navigate the rapid changes in data and technology within the tax profession and gain a competitive advantage in today’s job market.

The program integrates advanced coursework in tax and accounting with quantitative applications in modelling, data, analytics and technology. The program curriculum covers in-depth topics such as the impact of taxation on business operations and planning, corporate and partnership taxation, mergers and acquisitions, international taxation, state and local taxation, and tax research, policy and ethics.

Starting in the fall, the program includes a tax season internship and additional experiential learning opportunities for students to apply their knowledge in real-world scenarios. When pooled with the appropriate undergraduate course work, the 30-credit MBT degree will provide the hours necessary to earn a CPA license. In addition, the MBT program includes a structured approach to prepare for the CPA exam along with discounted access to CPA Exam Review programs.
