  • 2023 Poets & Quants Online MBA B-school Ranking

    Villanova, Pa., November 15, 2022 - The Villanova School of Business (VSB) Online MBA ranked among top programs in the annual Poets&Quants ranking, coming in at #23 in the nation. There were 50 schools included in the ranking this year, and inclusion in this elite ranking is on an invitation-only basis. This is the fourth year the VSB Online MBA participated in the ranking.

  • Villanova School of Business Wins Four 2022 MarCom Awards

    Villanova, Pa., October 27, 2022 – The Villanova School of Business (VSB) was selected as a winner of four 2022 MarCom Awards. This international distinction recognizes excellence in marketing and communication. This year, there were over 6,000 submissions with only the top entries earning Platinum and Gold awards. This recognition highlights one of VSB’s goals: to communicate and connect with its stakeholders through multi-media publications. In particular, these entries celebrate VSB’s 100th year and feature past and present Villanovans.

  • Villanova School of Business and M. Louise Fitzpatrick College of Nursing Announce New Certificate Program for Healthcare Leaders

    Villanova, Pa., October 19, 2022 – The Villanova School of Business (VSB) and the M. Louise Fitzpatrick College of Nursing (FCN) will jointly offer a new Certificate in Healthcare Design & Innovation beginning spring 2023. The online executive education program will provide healthcare leaders with the knowledge, skills and competencies needed to manage the increasing complexities of the healthcare landscape.

  • Kevin D. Clark, PhD, Named the Carmen and Sharon Danella Endowed Professor in Business Innovation

    Villanova, Pa., October 11, 2022 - Kevin D. Clark, PhD, department chair and professor, Management & Operations, has been named the Carmen and Sharon Danella Endowed Professor in Business Innovation. This professorship will enrich and develop opportunities within areas of innovation and entrepreneurship (I&E) at the Villanova School of Business (VSB). Established in 2008, Patrick G. Maggitti, PhD, now Provost of Villanova University, served in the inaugural endowed role as the founding director of the Villanova Center for Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship (ICE Center).

  • Rabih Moussawi, PhD, Named Katherine M. and Richard J. Salisbury Jr. Endowed Professor in VSB

    Villanova, Pa., August 1, 2022 - Rabih Moussawi, PhD, associate professor, Finance & Real Estate, has been named the Katherine M. and Richard J. Salisbury Jr. Endowed Professor in Finance. This professorship, named in honor of Richard J. Salisbury, Jr. '58 VSB and his mother, Katherine, enhances the quality of scholarship within the Villanova School of Business (VSB).

  • Villanova School of Business Dean Joyce E. A. Russell, PhD, Elected Chair of AACSB’s Women Administrators in Management Education Group

    Villanova, Pa., July 1, 2022—Joyce E. A. Russell, PhD, The Helen and William O’Toole Dean of VSB, has been elected chair of the Women Administrators in Management Education (WAME). WAME is an affinity group within the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) that includes women business education leaders such as: female deans, associate deans, assistant deans, program directors, center directors, and academic department chairs and seeks to “transform business schools and business education.”

  • Villanova School of Business Wins Five 2022 Hermes Creative Awards

    Villanova, Pa., May 26, 2022 – Villanova School of Business (VSB) was selected as a winner of five 2022 Hermes Creative Awards administered by the Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals (AMCP). AMCP judges are industry professionals who look for companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry.

  • Study by Corinne Post, PhD, measures how appointing women into the C-suite influences innovation via M&As, R&D

    Villanova, Pa., May 2, 2021 - What changes take place when women enter the C-suite? According to a new study, adding female executives changes how the C-suite thinks about and pursues innovation. When female appointees join top management teams, the C-suite’s way of thinking changes in two ways to become more open to change and less risk-seeking. As a result of these changes in thinking, firms rely less on an acquisitive approach (e.g. performed fewer M&As) and more on building their innovative capabilities internally (e.g. invested more in R&D).

  • Herbert G. Rammrath ’57 Selected as the 2022 Recipient of the Bartley Medallion of the Villanova School of Business

    Villanova, Pa., April 16, 2022 - The Villanova School of Business (VSB) has selected Herbert G. Rammrath ‘57 as the 2022 recipient of The Rev. Joseph C. Bartley, OSA Alumni Medallion. The Bartley Medallion is the highest distinction VSB can bestow to an alumnus/a, and is awarded annually to recognize alumni who have distinguished themselves in their careers while also demonstrating extraordinary service to their communities and to VSB.

    Villanova, PA, April 5, 2022 - Two Villanova School of Business (VSB) students – Maria Espinoza ‘22 VSB and Austin Glass ‘22 VSB – were selected as Poets & Quants for Undergrads 100 Best & Brightest Business Majors of 2022. Poets & Quants chose 100 students from around the nation who use their skills to impact business in creative ways and who are poised to be the future leaders of the business world.

January 27, 2022 – The Villanova School of Business (VSB) is pleased to announce that the VSB undergraduate program has been ranked among the top ten business programs in the nation by Poets&Quants for Undergrads, securing the #9 spot. VSB performed exceptionally well in the admissions category, achieving the #8 spot.
