The Career Passion Pitch is built on the understanding that professionals are motivated by the purpose behind their work. This monthly round table discussion series focuses on a different social justice cause each session. The April installment is in collaboration with the Office for Sustainability and the College of Engineering's SEED program and will focus on careers relating to sustainability and environmental protection. We invite interested employers and alumni working in this area to share how your organization’s mission statement drives your work. The event will start with each professional's passion pitch followed by round table discussions with students.

Format:
- At the start of the program, each employer representative or alumni will have the chance to address the student attendees by delivering their “Passion Pitch.” During this time, the speaker will be allotted a maximum of 3 minutes to share their personal connection with the purpose behind their work, articulate why it motivates them, and convey why others should also find it meaningful.
- Following the initial passion pitches, employer representatives and alumni will join groups of students seated at round tables. Together, they will engage in a conversation informed by the passion pitches they just heard.
- The event will consist of multiple discussion rounds. At the start of each new round, the employer representative and alumni rotate to a new student table.
- There will be prompts available to facilitate the conversation as needed.
