Dean Fitzpatrick to join AUB Board
M. Louise Fitzpatrick, EdD, RN, FAAN, Connelly Endowed Dean and Professor at the College of Nursing, Villanova University, has been invited to be a member of the External Advisory Board of the Rafic Hariri School of Nursing at the American University of Beirut. She was selected “based on her prominent and valuable contributions to the discipline and profession of nursing at the national and global levels.”
Dean Fitzpatrick joins a prestigious group which includes the director general of the Ministry of Health, the CEO of the International Council of Nurses, the president of Sigma Theta Tau International and royalty from the Middle East, including HRH Princess Muna Al Hussein of Jordan who visited the College several years ago.
The College enjoys a long relationship and has collaborated with AUB’s Nursing school—the first in the Middle East— in the past, developing education conferences for nurses. Dean Fitzpatrick served on AUB’s Centennial International Advisory Board and gave the keynote address at their Centennial Conference in July 2005, which was co-sponsored by the College of Nursing.
