Alpha Nu Chapter at Villanova celebrates nursing achievement
Villanova, PA, December 1, 2010 — The Alpha Nu Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International, nursing’s honor society, welcomed 88 new members at its Induction and Awards Ceremony on November 14th. The Chapter, based at Villanova University College of Nursing, held the event in the Connelly Center on campus.
Five community leaders, eight graduate students and 75 undergraduates were celebrated for their achievements, professional contributions and commitment to excellence. Additionally, several members received the following awards: senior Hillary Dutton, the Judith Erickson Award; senior Meghan Barowski, the Myrtle Feigenberg Award; graduate student Heather Marozsan, BSN, RN, the Joan Large Leadership Award; Margaret Lang, RN, MSN, CCM, CPHRM, the Theresa Christian Service Award; Margaret “Peggy” Lyons, MSN, RN, CRNI, the Excellence in Nursing Practice Award; and doctoral students Michael E. Conti, MSN, CRNA, Michelle M. Kelly, MSN, CRNP and Stephanie Jeffers, MSN, RN received Research Scholarship Awards.
