Current issues focus of research symposium hosted by College
Villanova, PA, October 15, 2009 — Driscoll Hall was home to the 4th Annual Crozer Keystone Health System Research Symposium on October 14. This year’s theme, Nursing Research in the 21st Century: Current Issues and Trends brought together nearly 80 nurses from the Crozer Keystone Health System, Villanova University, the Main Line Health System and Widener University. There were both paper presentations and poster sessions.
After greetings from Nancy Bucher, MSN, RN, CNAA-BC, VP and Chief Nursing Officer, Crozer-Keystone Health System and M. Louise Fitzpatrick, EdD, RN, FAAN, Connelly Endowed Dean and Professor, Villanova University, College of Nursing, participants enjoyed the keynote address on Research Councils: Advancing Research at the Bedside from Marian C. Turkel, RN, PhD, NEA-BC, Director, Professional Nursing Practice at the Albert Einstein Healthcare Network. There was also an opportunity to tour the new clinical simulation labs in Driscoll Hall.
