ADMISSIONS & TUITION

• Application Form
  A completed application form must be signed and dated or certified electronically through the online application process.
• Personal Statement
  Applicants should provide a personal statement (1-2 pages) that addresses their interest in obtaining an LLM degree, a detailed description of the area of legal study they intend to pursue and the courses in which they are interested. The personal statement should give the reader an idea of professional goals, why they wish to attend Villanova Law and the contributions they would make to the law school community.
• Curriculum Vitae or Resume
  A complete and updated CV or resume is required and must be submitted as an attachment with the online application through LSAC.
• LLM Credential Assembly Service report (LLM CAS)
• Transcripts
  Official transcripts or certified copies of official transcripts from each post-secondary school attended must be submitted to the LLM Credential Assembly Service (LLM CAS) through LSAC for evaluation. If available, a statement of your rank in class should be provided.

• TOEFL or IELTS Score
  TOEFL or IELTS scores must be submitted to the LLM CAS through LSAC to help establish applicant proficiency in English.
• Letters of Recommendation
  At least two and no more than three letters of recommendation are required. Letters of recommendation should be written in English.
  Letters of recommendation should be submitted through LSAC using the appropriate letter of recommendation form available through LLM CAS.

• International students whose native language is not English and who did not receive a bachelor's degree or graduate degree from a regionally accredited institution within the United States must take either the TOEFL or the IELTS and have official scores submitted to LSAC as part of the application. TOEFL or IELTS scores must be submitted to the LLM CAS through LSAC.
• Information on the TOEFL can be obtained by writing to TOEFL, Educational Testing Service, PO Box 6151, Princeton, NJ 08541-6151 or by visiting their website at www.toefl.com. Information on the IELTS can be obtained by visiting their website at www.ielts.org.

Tuition for the LLM in US Law is $45,000 for the complete 24-credit program.  

Applicants will be evaluated for a merit-based scholarship at the time of admission. Scholarship consideration is based on a holistic review of the applicant's profile and assessment of the applicant's ability to excel in the program. Applicants will be notified of scholarship decisions at the time of admission.
