Why VSB for your MSF?

I chose Villanova in order to build upon my undergraduate foundation and deepen my financial knowledge before entering the workforce. Alongside being drawn the duration of the program and the exciting Fellowship opportunity the Villanova School of Business has an amazing reputation, alumni network, and curriculum that will prepare me for my career. Ultimately, I chose Villanova because of the curriculum and community it offers that will help me grow both professionally and personally.

Why VSB for your MSF?

I attended Villanova for my undergraduate, and I wanted to continue my education at Villanova. I finished my undergraduate credits at Villanova early and wanted to learn more about the quantitative side of finance. Villanova has helped me tremendously when it comes to my professional development, and I wanted to continue to learn more from the Villanova faculty and community. I feel this program will not only help me achieve my short-term goals, but also set me up for long-term success.

I chose to earn my MSF at VSB because of the amazing opportunities and mentorships that the program had to offer. I was also interested in the fellowship program as well at the chance to work in the Gmelich Lab for Financial Markets. Being able to take professional development classes and classes in investment banking was also on my radar when looking into graduate programs. Villanova stuck out to me the most for many different reasons including the length of the program and the close knit community within the school of business. From the moment I stepped on campus I knew Villanova was going to be the right place for me to earn my MSF.

Completing my undergraduate degree at Villanova meant that my whole experience was shaped by the students and professors that I met along the way. From the knowledge I gained in the classroom, to the network that has shaped my professional experience during my undergrad, I knew that Villanova was the only place when it came time to weigh my options for a Master’s degree.

I chose to pursue an MSF at Villanova for several reasons. Firstly, I wanted to unlock a new alumni network – particularly one with a more concentrated East Coast presence. Secondly, I was drawn to the graduate research fellowship and the opportunity to work alongside Villanova’s renowned faculty. And, thirdly, I was eager to polish my networking and interview skills through Villanova’s robust professional development courses and mentorship program.

Studying finance in my undergraduate program and gaining valuable internships led me to choose Villanova's MSF program. My primary motivation is to further enhance my finance knowledge and skills. I'm drawn to Villanova's renowned faculty, eager to learn from their industry expertise. Believing in the invaluable connections and opportunities offered by the strong Villanova alumni network, I'm confident that this program will build upon my education and internships, preparing me for success in the finance industry.

I chose the MSF at Villanova because I wanted to build on my background in analytics with a deeper understanding of the world of finance. This degree will allow me to expand on my experience working with data within the context of finance, while also allowing me to explore new topics in finance that I didn’t cover in undergrad. The chance to work with/research with highly regarded faculty is very appealing as well. It was also a great opportunity to stay in the Philly area that I grew to enjoy as an undergrad.

Moving forward from my undergraduate liberal-arts experience in Economics and the Social Sciences—before initiating my desired career in the financial services industry—achieving a Master’s-level education in Finance arose for me as an utmost personal and career goal. The Business School at Villanova emerged as the perfect institution for me to further these academic and career imperatives. The MSF at VSB offers a premier, comprehensive, and in-depth education in Finance, and more, the school hosts an extensive and passionate Alumni network—these considerations were of particular importance to me, as they enable me to vitally inform, shape, and bolster my future career in Finance. Before selecting VSB, I also held the unique opportunity of my undergraduate institution being local to Villanova University, and thus, was able to personally meet with previous MSF students and witness some of their day-to-day and MSF course-curriculum; my exposure to the passionate, warm, and collegiate student-body, coupled with the robust academic-coordination of the MSF program, deeply affirmed that VSB was the perfect institution to further my academic and career goals.

The landscape of the financial industry has changed dramatically over the last decade and continues to rapidly advance with each year. These advances are driven by our ever-increasing reliance on technology and the benefits that leveraging these skills can provide. Villanova’s Master’s in Finance program focuses on understanding programming languages, machine learning, and quantitative finance in addition to the traditional finance curriculum which sets them apart from other graduate programs.

Why VSB for your MSF?

I chose to attend the Villanova School of Business for the quality of the education provided to students and access to an active alumni network after graduation. I am very interested in the real estate development sector and want to gain the financial technical skills necessary before jumping into the field. Villanova’s Master of Science in Finance provides students with the tools to develop those skills in an accelerated time frame, which is the main appeal of the program for me. I am also hoping my direct experiences with Villanova faculty through the Fellowship Program will help guide me through the discernment process as I choose what part of the real estate sector I would like to pursue in my early career.

I chose the Villanova School of Business for the MSF due to the incredible reputation and community that Villanova has. Coming from a very large school, I am excited to have a much smaller teacher-to-student ratio. I am passionate about increasing my modern-day knowledge in corporate finance, trading, and quantitative analysis. I believe VSB’s world-class faculty, combined with using the Gmelich Lab for Financial Markets is a major advantage that we Villanovans have. VSB’s MSF program is also accepted into the CFA Institute University Affiliation Program, which intrigues me to sit for the three CFA exams in the near future.

I chose to earn my MSF at VSB for several reasons, the first being Villanova’s Augustinian traditions. I find the pursuit of truth through learning, and their emphasis on fairness to be of the upmost importance. In addition to this the MSF programs rigor and knowledge base is the perfect mix to launch a career in finance. Finally, the opportunity to research in a formal manner has always intrigued me, and with the opportunity to do so at such a prestigious university, makes Villanova the perfect place to learn and grow.
