ORIENTATION

ORIENTATION SCHEDULE

New Student Orientation for 1L students is scheduled to begin Wednesday, August 18 and runs through Friday, August 20. Detailed information and section assignments will be sent via e-mail.

Orientation combines important information sessions with social and community-building events. Orientation is mandatory, not only because of the important information provided in the various sessions, but because it is when you will become an official matriculated student of Villanova Law.

Section assignments will be provided by the end of July. Attire is casual (except for Wednesday, which is business casual, due to the Administration of the Professional Oath) but keep in mind that you will be interacting with faculty, staff and other professionals. If you do not attend Orientation, we will assume you do not plan to matriculate and the Admissions Office may offer your seat to another applicant.

Although most of the sessions during Orientation do not require any reading or preparation, one session on each day will require some advanced preparation. Students are required to read a Welcome Memorandum from Vice Dean Michael Risch and Associate Dean Candace Centeno and other reading materials, which will be provided by the end of July.
