A Townhall Meeting with PA Secretary of Correction John E. Wetzel

Tuesday, January 30, 2018

Criminal justice reform is in the forefront of the news, with issues including the opioid crisis, mass incarceration and police brutality shining a light on deep-rooted issues that need to be brought to task. The League of Women Voters of Radnor Township along with The David F. and Constance B. Girard-diCarlo Center for Ethics, Integrity and Compliance will host a townhall event, featuring Pennsylvania Secretary of Corrections John E. Wetzel, who will discuss the past, present and future of criminal justice policy in the Commonwealth. The event is co-sponsored by the Villanova University Department of Sociology and Criminology.

Secretary John Wetzel's over 28-year career in criminal justice has led him to become a national consultant and speaker whose extensive areas of expertise include prison staffing, population management and effecting systemic change.

The townhall event takes place on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at 5:15 p.m., in the Blank Rome LLP Classroom (Room 102) of Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law (299 North Spring Mill Road, Villanova). Food will be provided.
