Villanova Nursing Welcomes Six New Faculty

Anne Marie Gregor, MSN, CRNP, CPNP

Clinical Assistant Instructor and Track Coordinator for the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner track

Prof. Gregor has served as an Adjunct Clinical Faculty in the Nurse Practitioner Program at FCN since 2016 and has been involved in educating the pediatric and family nurse practitioner students in the classroom, clinical, and virtual settings. She also assists with clinical placements for the PNP students and regularly precepts them at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Prof. Gregor earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the College of William and Mary, her BSN from the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing and her MSN from Virginia Commonwealth University, Medical College of Virginia School of Nursing. She has been certified as a pediatric nurse practitioner since 1995 and has worked at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia providing evidence-based care for both well and sick children. 

Tresa Kaur, PhD, RN-BC, CNE, CHSE, CTN-A

Diane Foley Parrett Assistant Professor

Dr. Kaur comes to the FCN from Teachers College, Columbia University where she has been teaching in the online EdD Nursing Education Program. She currently held administrative, research, and teaching responsibilities in TC’s online Ed.D. She has previously held faculty positions with Excelsior College, Monmouth University, Rutgers University, The State University of New Jersey, and New York University.

Her areas of teaching expertise include education, data analysis, knowledge development, informatics, research, and leadership.  She has taught Nursing Education courses including Curriculum Development, Teaching and Learning, Innovations in Technology, Simulation, Assessment and Evaluation, and Dissertation Design, Nurse Educator Seminar and Practicum. Previously, she has coordinated an MSN Nursing Education Track and served as a resource to faculty in the areas of Curriculum Development, Diversity, Equity, Online Pedagogy, Teaching Strategies, Informatics, Simulation, Online Learning, Technology, and Item Writing and Analysis. She is certified in several areas: Advanced Transcultural Nursing, Nursing Education, Nursing Informatics, Professional Development, and in Healthcare Simulation. 

Dr. Kaur’s scholarship focuses on evidenced based teaching strategies in nursing education. Her program of research is in simulation, online learning, and innovations in nursing education. She has conducted research studies in both academic and clinical settings. Dr. Kaur is the current an Editor for Nurse Education in Practice, and previously a column editor for Clinical Simulations in Nursing. 

Dr. Kaur received her PhD from Rutgers University, her Master’s from New York University, and her BSN from Johns Hopkins University.

LeRai Martin, MSN, RN

Clinical Assistant Instructor

Ms. Martin earned her MSN with a concentration in Public Health and Nursing Education from West Chester University and her BSN from West Chester University. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Foreign Service with a concentration in Humanities from Georgetown University School of Foreign Service.   

Most recently, Prof. Martin brings with her teaching experience in the areas of fundamentals, psychiatric mental health nursing and public health as an Instructor at West Chester University and a Lecturer at the Community College of Philadelphia. She also played a major role as the Clinical Lead for COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics for Delaware County. She will move into a 12-month faculty role working with the BSN Express Program beginning with the Fall 2022 semester. LeRai loves teaching Nursing and is particularly interested in Mentorship, and in Black Men's health. 

Jennifer Muner, MSN, RN-BC, NPD-BC, CEN

Director of Clinical Placements and Community Partnerships

Ms. Muner earned her BSN from Penn State University and her MSN in Nursing Education from Villanova University Fitzpatrick College of Nursing.  She has more than 20 years of experience as a Clinical Nurse Educator in the Emergency Department and with her most recent position at Main Line Health System Riddle Memorial Hospital, she was in the role of Lead Clinical Nurse Educator for the Health System.

Ms. Muner has extensive experience with hiring, orienting, and precepting new-to-practice nurses, faculty development, and clinical scheduling. In addition to her role as a Clinical Nurse Educator, she has been adjunct clinical faculty at Villanova University, Immaculata University, Harcum College, and Delaware County Community College. She also has several podium and poster presentations and has received several awards, including the Nightingale Award, recognizing her for her excellence in nursing education.

Lesley Perry, PhD, RN

Interim Associate Dean Graduate Program and Professor

Dr. Lesley Perry, professor, has returned to FCN as Interim Associate Dean Graduate Program, to lead that program while a search is conducted for the new Graduate Program dean. She first came to FCN in 2006 as associate dean and professor, bringing her wealth of experience in academic administration at all levels. At the university of Maryland School of Nursing for 29 years, she oversaw academic and operations related activities. Building on her service in academic programs, daily operations, strategic planning, obtaining grant funding, chairing dissertation committees, and faculty recruitment and development, Dr. Perry culminated her leadership in being named interim dean of Villanova Nursing in September of 2017 and later was instrumental in the transition of Dean Havens. Dr. Perry retired in 2019 and remained connected to FCN.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Roberts Wesleyan College, her master’s from Boston University and her PhD from the University of Maryland.

Kimberly K. Trout, PhD, CNM, FACNM, FAAN

Associate Professor

Dr. Trout earned her BSN, MSN and PhD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. She is a certified nurse-midwife, who was previously at the Fitzpatrick College of Nursing from 2004 – 2011.

 In 2011, she moved to Georgetown University to become the Director of the Nurse-Midwifery/Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Program. In 2013 she returned to the University of Pennsylvania where she became the Director of the Nurse-Midwifery track. While working at Penn, Dr. Trout became a lay Associate of the Sisters of Mercy which ignited her yearning to return to teaching at a Catholic Institution of Higher Education.

Dr. Trout brings with her a wealth of research experience and a great passion for teaching.  Currently, she holds membership in the Nutrition Obesity Research Center; the Diabetes Research Center in the Institute for Diabetes, Obesity & Metabolism; and the Institute for Translational Medicine and Therapeutics, in the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.
