Our Strategy

IT Strategic Planning Summary

In Fall 2024, Villanova launched an initiative to develop a University strategic IT technology plan (TechNova); identifying University initiatives and priorities for the next three to five years. We have engaged an outside partner to facilitate a collaborative process to produce our draft plan that leverages digital technologies that support and enhance the University’s goals.

Identifying systemic changes that would enhance the design and delivery of IT services that are highly responsive to constituents’ evolving needs; including IT staffing and reskilling.

Identifying aspects of the student journey (from prospect to alumni) where technology could and should have a positive impact.

Identifying ways to improve the way we plan and execute work, as well as the overall digital experience for faculty, staff and alumni in the community.

Identifying strategies and initiatives to provide more effective learning spaces, teaching & learning software, robust technologies & support, and research technologies.

Enterprise AI, Enterprise Data and Analytical Capabilities

Identifying the systemic capabilities and tools needed to create, enhance and promote a data-informed decision-making culture.
