Biography
Andrew Lund joined Villanova Law in 2016 with more than 9 years of experience as a full-time faculty member and law school administrator. Most recently, he was the associate dean for research and faculty development and professor of law at Pace Law School, where he also led the school’s business law concentration. Lund has also taught at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. His research interests focus on corporate governance mechanisms and executive compensation and his work has appeared in the Harvard Business Law Review, the Notre Dame Law Review, the Florida Law Review and numerous other journals.
Prior to joining the academy, Lund clerked for the Hon. Rhesa H. Barksdale on the Fifth Circuit, U.S. Court of Appeals and then practiced at Sullivan & Cromwell where he focused on executive compensation and mergers & acquisitions. He graduated from Swarthmore College and received his JD from the New York University School of Law.
At Villanova, Lund teaches various business law courses, including Business Organizations and a 1L Elective titled Introduction to Business and Economic Analysis of Law.
As the former faculty director of the Scarpa Center, Lund provided comprehensive leadership and collaborates with faculty on related curriculum and programs. He organized the 1L and 2L Modules on Financial Literacy and the Business of Law, respectively, and directed the 2L Module himself. Lund also serves as a connection between the law school and Villanova University and community constituencies interested in business law and entrepreneurship.
