INTERVIEW PROGRAM
Villanova Law has added an interview component to its application process. We hope to learn more about our applicants and their experiences, communication skills, maturity, motivation, and personality through the interview process. Interviews will also help us learn how applicants can contribute to the Villanova Law community as students and alumni.
Interviews are currently by invitation only. We will interview as many applicants as we can, however, we will not be able to interview all applicants. If you are not invited to interview, your candidacy for admission is not adversely impacted. Your application will be reviewed holistically with the same attention as the applicants invited to interview.
Interviews will begin in September and will be scheduled throughout the application cycle. If you are invited to interview, you will receive an email with instructions on how to schedule your interview. Once you receive the email, you will have seven days to schedule your interview. Each interview will last approximately thirty minutes and will include time for questions. Please note that your application must be complete before you can be invited to interview.
Interviews will be conducted by members of the Admissions Committee via Zoom or phone. If you need a reasonable accommodation to complete the interview, please email us.

All completed applications undergo a holistic review by our Admissions Committee, even if an applicant is not invited to interview. Your chances for admission are not impacted if you do not receive an invitation to interview. Any decision is possible after an applicant is interviewed.
We hope to interview as many applicants as possible. We do not use a formula or specific numerical criteria to determine whom we select for interviews. Applicants invited to interview will have varying experiences and credentials. Before an applicant is invited to interview, their application will be reviewed in its entirety.
We only conduct interviews via telephone or Zoom. On-campus interviews are not available.
You will receive a confirmation email shortly after scheduling your interview. Please check your spam/junk folder if you do not receive this email within ten minutes after registering. The confirmation email will contain logistical details for your phone or Zoom interview.
Before you are invited to interview, your completed application will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee. Early Decision candidates who are invited to interview will typically receive an admissions decision within 1-2 weeks following an interview. After late November, Regular Decision applicants will typically receive a decision within two weeks after the interview is completed. The sooner you are able to schedule your interview, the sooner you could receive a decision about your application to Villanova.
The interview is designed for us to learn more about you and your application to Villanova Law. You will not be questioned about the law or current legal issues in the media. Candidates are expected to familiarize themselves with their application materials in preparation for their interview.
