In today’s ever-changing world of tax practice, you need a degree that will help set you apart from the competition and make long-term gains in your career.

Villanova’s Master of Taxation (MT) stresses real-world education and professional responsibility in tax practice through a rigorous and well-rounded curriculum taught by leading tax scholars and professionals. At Villanova, you’ll learn with and from accountants and attorneys in our integrated classes, allowing for in-depth, interdisciplinary examinations of tax principles and policies.

The Master of Taxation is a 30-credit degree program consisting of six required courses and over 45 comprehensive electives to allow you to personalize your course of study. Courses are taught in an eight-week format, allowing you to concentrate on one course at a time while still finishing in two years.

Our more than 60 faculty members includes full-time tax scholars and leading practitioners from Big Four accounting firms, law firms, the IRS and other tax companies and organizations.

Students may also pursue a specialty certificate in Employee Benefits, Estate Planning, and State and Local Taxation, either together with LLM degree or on a stand-alone basis.

The MT program is available on-campus, online or in a hybrid format.
