HOUSING
Yes. For ease of scheduling, the University will denote on course selection materials the campus on which each class will take place.
Full details about Villanova’s housing selection process, including information on how to complete your housing application, housing selection timeslots, roommate selection and more, can be found on our Housing Selection website.
We encourage students to identify multiple housing options in the event that their top choices are no longer available during their housing selection time.
Students who wish to live in a group of four, five, six or eight students should consider housing options at Lecceto, Francesca, Angelo and Xavier Halls on the Cabrini Campus. These buildings allow students to live in apartments, suites or “clustered” room layouts. See our Living on the Cabrini Campus page for additional information.
The Villanova and Cabrini campuses have many different housing options for sophomores.
- Lecceto Hall on the Cabrini Campus features apartments containing a full kitchen, one or two bathrooms, and several bedroom configurations, all in an enclosed unit that can be accessed via Wildcard from the hallway. Apartments may contain two double bedrooms to house a total of four students; two double bedrooms and one single bedroom to house a total of five students; or three double bedrooms to house a total of six students.
- Xavier Hall on the Cabrini Campus features “clusters” of four double rooms (to house a total of eight students), two enclosed bathrooms, a counter area with two sinks and a common area. Each room can be accessed via Wildcard; the common area opens into the hallway.
- Angelo Hall on the Cabrini Campus contains two distinct housing styles. Students can choose from:
- A double room that is connected to another double room via a bathroom shared by four students; or
- Six-person suites consisting of a combination of single and double bedrooms, a common area, two bathrooms with toilets and one shower, and a shared double sink.
- Francesca Hall on the Cabrini Campus features four-person suites consisting of two double bedrooms, a shared bathroom, a small common area and a counter with a sink.
- Nicholas, Josephine and Thomas Halls on the Cabrini Campus and Austin, Corr, Sheehan and Sullivan Halls on the Villanova Campus consist of single, double or triple bedrooms that open to a hallway or wing, with a community bathroom in each hallway or wing.
Floor plans for these housing options will be available on our website prior to Housing Selection.
Yes. Francesca Hall on the Cabrini Campus has been reserved for sophomore Honors students (and their preferred roommates).
Yes. Honors students who do not wish to reside in Francesca Hall can enter the housing lottery and select another housing option.
“Unique housing configuration” refers to the wing configurations in Josephine Hall on the Cabrini Campus, home of Villanova’s Sophomore Living and Leadership Communities. Josephine Hall contains single, double and triple rooms arranged in different layouts on different wings and hallways. Floor plans for Josephine Hall will be available on our Housing website prior to housing selection; we encourage students to review these layouts to view the unique combinations!
Yes. In addition to Sheehan and Sullivan, sophomores will reside in Austin and Corr halls on the Villanova Campus during the 2026-27 academic year. Austin Hall will likely house a mix of sophomores and first-year students next year.
Sophomores will not be housed in the Commons during the 2026-27 academic year.
As is typically the case, sophomores can only live with other sophomores during the 2026-27 academic year.
Some seniors and juniors may be housed in Lecceto Hall, but we anticipate that campus housing will be filled primarily by sophomore students during the 2026-27 academic year.
Students who wish to use community kitchens should plan to bring their own utensils and cookware. Students are not permitted to store personal kitchen appliances in the community kitchens.
About 50 percent of the sophomore class—approximately 900 students—will live on the Cabrini Campus.
No. Housing selection is done via random draw. Your current housing will have no impact on the timeslot you receive in the housing lottery.
The Office of the Bursar will publish information about the cost of housing during the Spring semester. It is important to note that similar rooms will have similar costs, regardless of location (for example, a double room at Villanova and a double room at Cabrini will cost the same). Generally, housing costs vary based on type of accommodation, with apartments and suites priced higher than traditional triples, doubles and singles.
ACADEMICS
The Cabrini Campus will be the home of several academic departments: Ethics, Psychological and Brain Sciences, Education and Counseling, select Communication classes, and graduate-level Nursing programs. These programs will make use of the state-of-the-art labs, classrooms and facilities available at the Cabrini Campus.
You will not be required to live on either campus based on the major you are pursuing. Your housing will depend on the selection you make during the Housing Selection process and is not impacted by academic classes.
While every situation is different, sophomores can expect to take their required Ethics class at Cabrini. Depending on their majors, individual academic interests and course requirements, any student, including sophomores (no matter where they reside), may have classes at Cabrini.
During the course selection process, students will know if their classes are taking place on the Cabrini or Villanova campus. Students are advised that if they need to travel from one campus to the other, they should leave open one class time to allow sufficient time for travel. The 15-minute slot between back-to-back classes will not be sufficient to ensure timely arrival on the other campus if travel is required.
One of four interdisciplinary academic institutes at Villanova, the new Mother Cabrini Institute on Immigration at Villanova University engages University and community partners in teaching, scholarship and training. The Institute also partners across campus to support community service opportunities. Rooted in Villanova’s Augustinian values of Veritas, Unitas, Caritas (Truth, Unity, Love), this academic institute advances the University’s mission while honoring Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini, patroness of immigrants. The Institute’s administrative office is housed on the Cabrini Campus.
TRANSPORTATION AND PARKING
Villanova University does not recommend walking between campuses. While the Villanova and Cabrini campuses are just under 2 miles away from each other, walking would require students to travel along busy, narow roads with no sidewalks. The University will operate a robust shuttle service between the campuses during peak hours, as well as on-demand transportation options during off-peak hours.
Villanova has partnered with industry experts and a college shuttle provider to design the transportation system. Shuttles will arrive every 5 to 10 minutes during peak hours; if you aren’t able to get on a particular shuttle, be assured that another one will arrive at your location shortly. Each shuttle can accommodate up to 40 passengers. It’s helpful to design your personal daily schedule to allow you enough time to catch a shuttle and arrive on your desired campus in a timely fashion.
A new transportation app will provide real-time bus tracking and up-to-date information about bus stops and schedules, and allow you to request a ride with the Nova Van on Demand or Mobility Shuttle. The app will also provide information about schedules and routes for current on- and off-campus shuttles, which will continue to operate from the Villanova Campus.
There is no dedicated SEPTA service to the Cabrini Campus. For bus and train travel, students should take the University shuttle from the Cabrini Campus to the Villanova Campus, where they can take the Norristown High-Speed Line or the Paoli-Thorndale Regional Rail Line or board the SEPTA Route 106 bus that runs along Lancaster Avenue.
Only sophomores who reside on the Cabrini Campus will be eligible to park at the Cabrini Campus. Sophomores living on the Villanova campus are not eligible to park on either campus unless approved by the University via the accommodations process or other circumstances. Rising sophomores interested in having a car on campus next year should select housing at the Cabrini Campus.
Students with Cabrini Campus parking passes may not park on the Villanova Campus during the week. Guidelines regarding weekend parking on the Villanova Campus for students with Cabrini Campus permits will be announced at a later date.
Students with Villanova Campus parking passes are expected to take the University shuttle between campuses. They may not park on the Cabrini Campus unless approved by the University via the accommodations process or other circumstances.

The pool will open in the Fall of 2026. Operating hours will be announced in the coming months. The pool will be available to students, faculty and staff. Students will be able to use the pool and all of the Dixon Center’s amenities regardless of which campus they live on.
Yes, the Dixon Center has lockers that will be available to students, faculty and staff.
No. Outdoor courts will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
You will find the same 24/7 coverage on the Cabrini Campus that you find on the Villanova Campus. Public Safety officers will conduct regular patrols of campus and respond to all emergency calls. Surveillance cameras and emergency phones are located on the campus, and students, faculty and staff can use the “live chat” feature on the Nova Safe app to communicate with the Public Safety dispatcher, who will be able to see the caller’s location in real time.
Yes. Nova Alert will deliver emergency alerts to registered mobile devices and/or email, depending on which services you’ve signed up for. Regardless of where you reside and which campus you are on in the event of an emergency, you will receive notifications for both campuses.
No matter which campus you’re on, you can call Public Safety to be transported quickly to the Student Health Center, which is located on the Villanova Campus.
You can call Public Safety’s emergency number (610-519-4444) to be assessed by medical professionals and transported to a local hospital via Public Safety or ambulance.
