How did Villanova’s MSF program prepare you for your career?

The MSF program’s curriculum helped me gain proficiency in the financial theory and concepts I use in my day-to-day work. Further, the cohort style of the program resulted in a solid network of like-minded peers with common goals.

What advice would you give to a prospective MSF student who was researching MSF programs?

Program metrics, outcome history, course offerings and extracurricular opportunities are all important factors when deciding where to apply. Prospective students would also be well-served to consider less obvious qualities – how collaborative (or “cut-throat”) is the peer environment? How strong is the alumni network? What do prior students say about their experience?

Are there specific instructors/courses that had a critical impact?

All instructors and courses played an important role.  The clear expertise of our instructors and the well-rounded nature of the curriculum ensured a great education.

How did your experience as part of a student cohort add value to your growth as a finance professional?

Navigating the early stages of a financial career is much easier alongside a tight network of bright, like-minded peers.

What your favorite experience during the program?

I really enjoyed getting to know all of my classmates and their diverse backgrounds. Beyond that, working together to manage a fund in real-time and participating in research with esteemed professors was memorable.
