Villanova School of Business Appoints Larry L. Fillian, Jr. as the New Associate Dean of Undergraduate Business Programs

Villanova, Pa. (Aug. 26, 2024) — After a national search, Villanova School of Business (VSB) announces Larry L. Fillian, Jr. as the new associate dean of Undergraduate Business Programs, effective September 3. In this role, Fillian will be responsible for leading the strategic and academic direction of VSB’s undergraduate business program and its offerings, and for overseeing VSB’s Clay Center for Student Services and O’Donnell Center for Professional Development.  

Fillian brings extensive experience in leading student programs and services at national universities and has distinguished himself as a champion of student interests. Most recently, he served as associate dean for Enrollment Management and Student Success at the New York University School of Professional Studies, leading a team of 60 professionals responsible for admissions, financial aid, student affairs, academic advising and career development.   

“I have no doubt Larry’s extensive higher education experience and passion for student wellbeing and success will further the mission of our school, our undergraduate programs, and the Clay and O’Donnell Centers,” said Wen Mao, PhD, The Helen and William O’Toole Dean of VSB.

Prior to his tenure at NYU, Fillian held senior leadership positions at the University of Maryland School of Nursing, the New School, and the University of Kansas. Fillian earned a BA in History from The University of Mary Washington and an M.Ed. from The University of Texas at Austin.
