Four VSB Faculty Members Named Editors of Prestigious Journals

Villanova, Pa., June 29, 2023 - Four Villanova School of Business (VSB) faculty members have recently been named editors or co-editors of prestigious journals.

Corinne Post, PhD, the Fred J. Springer Endowed Chair in Business Leadership, has been appointed as general editor of the Journal of Management Studies (JMS). JMS is one of the leading general management journals and is among the Financial Times’ list of the top 50 business journals. Dr. Post previously served as associate editor of JMS from 2016-2020 and her new role is effective August 1.

Michael Pagano, PhD, The Robert J. and Mary Ellen Darretta Endowed Chair in Finance and professor, Finance & Real Estate, has been named a co-editor of The Financial Review, along with Tina Yang, PhD, a former VSB faculty member.

Jeremy Kees, PhD, The Richard J. and Barbara Naclerio Endowed Chair in Business and professor, Marketing & Business Law; and Beth Vallen, PhD, professor, Marketing & Business Law, have been selected as the co-editors in-chief at the Journal of Public Policy and Marketing, one of the flagship journals of the American Marketing Association.

It is a testament to our teacher-scholar model and our increasing emphasis on research that has both scholarly and practical impact,“ said Joyce E. A. Russell, PhD, the Helen and William O’Toole Dean of VSB.

In addition to these appointments, VSB has several faculty members who have served in high-level editorial roles with other leading journals. Charles (Ray) Taylor, PhD, the John A. Murphy Endowed Chair, professor, Marketing & Business Law, has been editor of the International

Journal of Advertising since 2008. Janice Sipior, PhD, professor, Accounting & Information Systems, has been editor of Information Systems Management since 2007. Dr. Doh was editor-in-chief of Journal of World Business from 2014 to 2018 and general editor of Journal of Management Studies from 2019 to 2022, and he is currently editor for Journal of International Business Studies.
