Marv Meissner , MBA
is a renowned expert in Lean Six Sigma and process improvement. He is also a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and Quality and Training Executive with 25+ years of experience in leadership roles within manufacturing and transactional administrative environments. Professor Meissner developed a passion for quality and continuous process early in his career. He takes great pleasure in seeing his students become proficient in applying Lean Six Sigma concepts and tools effectively in their organizations.
Pankaj Mahajan, MBA, SSBB
Pankaj Mahajan is an Industry Expert, Leader & Executive with 28+ years’ experience in Product Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality and New Technologies functions in Automotive, Transportation, Mobility, Industrial and Infrastructure industries.
He received a BE in mechanical engineering and holds an MBA from the University of Michigan. He also completed postgraduate studies in Business Administration at the Harvard Business School.
Pankaj is a Chrysler/ASI certified Six Sigma Black Belt and MIT certified Digital Transformation professional. Brian Galli, PhD, PMP, LSSMBB
earned his doctoral degree in engineering management from Old Dominion University in 2013, a Master of Science degree in engineering management from Missouri University of Science & Technology in 2009 and a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering from Binghamton University in 2007. He has previously served as a faculty member at several academic institutions, including Hofstra University, Long Island University, New York Institute of Technology (NYIT), American Public University (APUS), SUNY Binghamton, and SUNY Stony Brook. Before joining academia, Brian worked for over 12 years, applying industrial engineering and project management in various arenas, including healthcare, manufacturing, and service environments. He owns Apex Strategies, Ltd., a company that provides training and project support in project management, process improvement strategies, emerging technologies and analytics.
Brian holds several professional certifications, including project management professional (PMP), certified professional in engineering management (CPEM), Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt (LSS MBB), and Lean Bronze certification. He also holds his license as a professional engineer (PE) in Industrial Engineering in New York.
Brian’s research interests include Organizational Development, Leadership Development, Decision-Making/Decision Theory, Team Dynamics and Team Development, Team Decision-Making, Project Management, Continuous Improvement (Six Sigma, Lean, Model for Improvement, PDSA/PDCA), Decision Sciences, Innovation, Change Management, Queuing Theory, and Continuous Improvement Deployment & Sustainability.
Roseanne Foley, Ph.D., CSSBB
joined Villanova University’s College of Professional Studies in 2018 as an instructor in the Six Sigma program. Rosanne holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Long Island University, a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Maryland College Park. She is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and has spent over 25 years working for a Fortune 100 company where she held both technical and management leadership positions in areas of manufacturing, product registration, regulatory science and corporate environmental health and safety (EHS). She led global projects and programs and cultivated strong team leadership skills and effective communication techniques with executive, functional, and technical staff across all levels of an organization. As an instructor, Rosanne believes in using interactive online teaching techniques and is always willing to provide one-on-one instruction to ensure a meaningful educational experience. This often includes using real-world examples of Six Sigma principles to link principles to practice. Her belief is that students should leave her class equipped with tools and techniques that can be applied immediately in their current roles and future professional endeavors.
Rita D'Angelo, MS, Ph.D.
is a globally renowned expert in process improvement and lean production systems. With over a decade of experience, Dr. D’Angelo has trained and certified thousands of healthcare professionals in lean management, enhancing the efficiency of healthcare facilities across the United States and Europe. She served as quality manager for the American Red Cross and is well versed in FDA requirements for biologics. As a co-founder of the Henry Ford Production System, Dr. D’Angelo played a pivotal role in designing and implementing groundbreaking operational efficiencies at the Henry Ford Health System. She led the team responsible for securing America’s first ISO 15189 accreditation for an integrated laboratory system. She continues to assist organizations across the U.S. and internationally implement Lean Management and ISO 15189 quality and competence in medical laboratories.
Dr. D’Angelo holds a Ph.D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering, a master’s degree in health administration, an ASQ Six Sigma Black Belt, Quality engineer and certifications from Toyota Production System Support (TSSC) in Lean production. She has authored several publications and has presented and taught various laboratory quality topics for professional associations and conferences.
Steven Babb, MS, LSSMBB
is an innovative leader with 40-plus years of experience in medical device, chemical processing, aerospace, nuclear, information technology and business consulting industries. His roles have encompassed Research and Development, Engineering, Operations and Quality Management, Manufacturing and Chemical Processing, and Continuous Improvement.
As one of General Electric’s first Six Sigma Master Black Belts, Steve led the complete Lean Six Sigma initiative in a global information technology business during his 15 years with the company. He authored Lean Six Sigma, the Financial Impact, trained hundreds of employees and suppliers in Lean Six Sigma, and served as a Vice Chair of the American Society for Quality (ASQ) Quality Management Division. A Professional Engineer, Steve holds ASQ certifications in Quality Management, Engineering and Auditing and has ten patents and patents pending in medical products and chemical processing.
Steve earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and his Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Florida. He is currently an Instructor for Villanova University and ASQ. Steve’s courses include Lean Six Sigma, Design of Experiments, Quality Engineering and Reliability Engineering. In these roles, Steve has enjoyed training thousands of students in practical process and product improvement methods.
Tina Agustiady, CLSSMB
is a Certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt, continuous improvement leader, multi-award winner and published author. She has used the principles of Lean Six Sigma to enhance operational excellence at leading corporations, including Tyco Healthcare, MetLife, Philips Healthcare and most currently at JPMorgan Chase & Co. where she is Vice President/Senior Vendor Relationship Manager. Agustiady’s many activities and responsibilities include serving as the past Lean Division President and current Technical Vice President of Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE). She’s also served as a board director and chairman for the IISE annual conferences and Lean Six Sigma conferences. Agustiady received a bachelor of science degree in Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Ohio University and her Black Belt and Master Black Belt certifications from Clemson University.
