Villanova, Pa., June 14, 2021 – The Villanova School of Business (VSB) will offer an Applied Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) specialization within the MBA program starting fall 2021. Artificial intelligence and machine learning have become increasingly important technologies across all business disciplines such as finance, banking, marketing, healthcare, accounting, real estate and more. The three-course specialization will examine AI and all its components–natural language processing, expert systems, robotic process automation, machine vision, image recognition and AI development platforms–and especially supervised and unsupervised machine learning.

Villanova School of Business Professor Jonathan Doh Elected as a Fellow of the Academy of Management
Villanova, Pa., May 7, 2021.—Villanova School of Business (VSB) professor Jonathan Doh, PhD, has been elected as a Fellow of the Academy of Management (AOM)—the largest and most prestigious professional organization of management scholars globally. Election as an AOM Fellow is a permanent designation and honors a select group of scholars who have made significant contributions to the science and practice of management and distinguished themselves at the top of their fields.

Villanova School of Business Appoints Two New Endowed Positions in the Accounting & Information Systems Department
Villanova, Pa., April 28, 2021 – The Villanova School of Business (VSB) has appointed two new endowed positions within the Accounting & Information Systems (A&IS) department. Starting Fall 2021, Lucy H. Chen, PhD, will be the new John M. Cooney Endowed Professor in Accounting and Denise Hanes Downey, PhD, ’05 VSB, ’08 MAC will be the new KPMG Endowed Professor in Accounting.

Villanova, Pa., January 26, 2021 – The Villanova School of Business (VSB) earned high ranks in the annual U.S. News & World Report Best Online Graduate Business Programs, and the Best Online MBA ranking, earning the #5 and #17 spots respectively.
Villanova, Pa. January 12, 2021 – The Villanova School of Business (VSB) undergraduate program has placed #13 in the annual Poets&Quants for Undergrads ranking. VSB performed exceptionally well on the results of the academic experience rank, achieving the #12 spot in that portion of the ranking.
Villanova, Pa., Dec. 7, 2020 - Beginning 2021, the Center for Church Management (CCM) will offer a Certificate in Catholic School Management for K-12 Catholic school administrators. The program is designed to provide school leaders with the critical business skills and knowledge necessary to successfully manage their schools in a Catholic context.
VSB is pleased to announce that four of its world-renowned faculty members have been ranked in Stanford University’s new author database. After recognizing that there was great interest in standardized citation metrics across all scientists and scientific disciplines, Stanford created an updated science-wide database of more than 159,000 top scientists in the world.
Villanova, Pa., November 9, 2020 - The Villanova School of Business (VSB) Online MBA ranked in the top ten among programs in the annual Poets&Quants ranking, coming in at #7 in the nation. VSB performed exceptionally well—earning the #2 spot—in the academic experience part of the methodology, largely comprised of the results of an extensive alumni survey. There were 47 schools included in the ranking this year, and inclusion was on an invitation-only basis. This is the second year the VSB Online MBA participated in the ranking.

The three-course minor degree is open to all VSB students, with coursework that includes building prototype intelligent systems, natural language processing, expert systems, supervised and unsupervised learning, and robotics, among other areas that comprise the broad field of AI.
