Partnering with CAIA® for Excellence in Alternative Investments Education

The Villanova School of Business (VSB) Department of Finance & Real Estate proudly collaborates with the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association® (CAIA®), the leading global authority in alternative investments. This partnership enriches the academic experience for both faculty and students by providing access to CAIA’s Academic Partner Program Scholarships.

   

BENEFITS FOR STUDENTS

  • VSB undergraduate or graduate students studying finance who are nominated by the VSB representative can apply for scholarships that reduce the exam fee to $350 (from $1,395) for both Level I and Level II exams
  • Students are allowed to sit for the exam for any of the next three exam cycles following their scholarship award date.  
  • Scholarships are awarded on a rolling basis, with a total of eight student scholarships available each calendar year. 
  • This opportunity is available to students enrolled at VSB, providing a valuable pathway to enhance their credentials and career prospects in alternative investments.

BENEFITS FOR FACULTY

  • VSB faculty members teaching CAIA-related courses can receive scholarships reducing the exam fee to $350 (from $1,395) for both Level I and Level II exams.

  • When registering for the Level I exam, the faculty member must be employed with an Academic Partnership Program (APP) Institution and teaching a minimum of six credit hours per year, including one or more CAIA-related courses.

  • VSB can apply for a maximum of three faculty scholarships per exam cycle.

     

   

Application Details

  • Applications for both faculty and student scholarships must be approved prior to exam registration.

  • For students, eligibility is contingent upon nomination by VSB’s representative and current enrollment at VSB.
