Augustinian Values
As a successful corporate restructuring professional, LoBiondo grounds his actions and business dealings within these values of unity, truth, and love. “I have always reflected my Augustinian Values in my business life,” he states, “by looking for ethical and balanced approaches to very difficult situations and achieving win-win solutions or at least solutions where everyone is equally unhappy.”
Viewing himself as a “peacemaker,” LoBiondo uses such values to build lasting relationships and to achieve results that lead to shared success. He does not wish to be alone in this approach. Instead, he shares such a mission with peers and future business leaders, seeking creative solutions that benefit the common good and mentoring others to embrace ethical approaches to solving one’s problems.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, LoBiondo, and along with his wife Elizabeth ’80 FCN, is most proud of his enduring legacy through the actions and achievements of their four sons. Having ingrained in them the same values that proved instrumental to his life, LoBiondo notes, “They have grown up to be good, ethical men with strong ties to their communities and families… I feel I have launched four men into the world who can honestly make a difference.”
Foundational to the personal and professional successes, LoBiondo points to his time at Villanova. “The Villanova community is inspiring and has contributed to the man I am today,” he says, providing gifts of a community, lasting relationships, and his wife of over 40 years.
“Villanova,” he continues, “is a transformative place with amazing people. All one has to do is walk across campus to feel the energy that will inspire graduates on their life journey as it has inspired mine.”
