Business Minor Lars Hultgren ’21 COE Donates Contest Prize to CityTeam Chester

Lars Hultgren ’21 COE, and business minor, entered the Villanova University Student Essay Challenge in hopes of winning tickets to Villanova’s first round of the 2020 NCAA Basketball Tournament. However, since COVID-19, the prize was changed to a cash prize. Lars’ essay on his journey and the Villanova community won the contest, and he donated his cash award of $1,050 to CityTeam Chester – a local nonprofit dedicated to helping those experiencing homelessness, poverty, hunger, and addiction – that was running low on supplies due to high demands from the pandemic. In times like these, we are proud to have students like Lars who represent Villanova’s commitment to service!
