Fall 2019 - Welcome Our New Associate Dean of Graduate Business
Welcome Manuel (Manny) Nuñez, '03 MBA, who will be leading our graduate business office as Associate Dean of Graduate Programs. In this role, he will oversee the graduate programs of the Part-Time MBA, Online MBA, and specialty masters programs as well as enrollment and career strategy services for graduate business.
He has been affiliated professionally with VSB for over ten years, as an adjunct faculty member, Chair of the Advisory Council for the Moran Center for Global Leadership, and most recently as a Professor of Practice in the Management and Operations department. Manny also serves and will continue to serve as the Faculty Director for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at VSB. He brings a global perspective, teaching both the OMBA global practicum and EMBA global management courses and is passionate about our mission, having led our MBA and undergraduate Social Enterprise Practicums.
In service to VSB, Manny has served on the Graduate Business Advisory Council, PMBA Program Steering Committee, OMBA Program Committee, MSCM Program Committee, Ethics, CSR, and Servant Leadership Committee (Co-Chair), DEI Committee (Co-Chair), Interfaith Committee, and a University Strategic Plan Aspiration Team.
Manny also brings sixteen years of private sector experience from Merck & Co. where he drove growth for several multi-billion-dollar product franchises, and six years of public sector experience that includes a senior leadership role as Managing Director, Office of External and Government Affairs at the Inter-American Foundation, a federal agency.
In addition to his responsibilities here at VSB, Manny also serves on the board of trustees at Eastern Mennonite University and is a past board member at Patient Ready Clinicians. His many awards include The Joseph C. Bartley OSA Alumni Medallion (the highest award bestowed on a VSB alumnus/a), a Medical Media & Marketing Gold Award, an International Health Care Marketing Association Gold Award and a Merck Senior Executive Leadership Award.
Manny received his MBA from Villanova, and his BA from Eastern Mennonite University. He also completed a Special Sciences Post-Baccalaureate at the University of Pennsylvania.
