2014 AWARDEES

Purpose

The Annual Dean's Awards Dinner was initiated in 1976 in order to recognize senior engineering students for their academic achievement and /or their meaningful contributions and service provided to the College of Engineering during their time at Villanova.

Award Recipient Criteria

Academic Excellence

An undergraduate engineering student must be a senior, majoring in engineering, with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50 at the end of the Fall term, who will graduate within the current academic year.

Recipients of this award are chosen by the Dean of Engineering.

Meritorious Service

An undergraduate engineering student must be a senior, majoring in engineering, who has been active in an engineering student organization, and has given significant and quality service to the College over an extended period of time.

Recipients may be self-nominated, or nominated by fellow students, faculty, staff and/or administrators.  Nominees are reviewed by a peer review committee with the final approval of the Dean of Engineering Office.

When it is held

The Dean's Awards Dinner is held in April.

By Invitation Only

Senior engineering students who will be receiving either the Academic Excellence and/or Meritorious Service Award will receive an email invitation to this event.
