The M. Louise Fitzpatrick College of Nursing at Villanova University seeks nominations and applications for a full-time 12 month continuing non-tenure track faculty position with preparation in adult health/critical care nursing. The successful candidate will teach, advise, participate in guiding student projects, participate in teaching students during international nursing experiences, assist in the recruitment, admission and advisement of second degree students, and maintain active involvement in the College, University and professional community.

If you are or someone you know is a nurse practitioner (NP) interested in sharing knowledge and skills, there are preceptor opportunities available at the College of Nursing for adult-gerontology, family, and pediatric NPs in primary care and specialty clinics in the Delaware Valley, Delaware and South Jersey areas.

Our students have clinical semesters at all times during the year-spring, summer and fall. Adult-gerontology and pediatric NP students have a minimum of 610 hours required over the clinical year. Family NP students have a minimum of 730 hours required over the clinical year.

The preceptor commitment is one day a week per preceptor for one semester. If you are precepting a summer student, that means approximately 70 hours, and for spring/fall students approximately 120 hours.

The Fitzpatrick College of Nursing, Villanova University, has an ongoing need for highly qualified adjunct (part-time) faculty to provide clinical instruction in a variety of clinical nursing courses, including adult medical-surgical nursing, parent-child nursing, psychiatric-mental health nursing and public/community health nursing.

Master’s degree in nursing, experience in the clinical specialty area and license to practice as a professional registered nurse in Pennsylvania is required. Prior teaching experience preferred.
