ANNUAL EVENTS

Villanova hosts numerous annual events that invite family members to experience our campus with their loved ones.

Wildcat Welcomes are coordinated by the Office of Undergraduate Admission and the Villanova University Alumni Association (VUAA). These gatherings make the college transition easier by allowing families the opportunity to meet other Villanovans and learn more about the University in the summer months before students arrive in August.

New Student Orientation is a four-day program where new students familiarize themselves with academic and student life at Villanova. During Orientation, Academic Deans, faculty, students and Student Life administrators meet over multiple sessions with new students. These meetings answer questions, address concerns and highlight the wide variety of services and activities available at Villanova. 

Each fall, families are invited to campus for a weekend to spend time with their loved ones, connect with other families and hear about the wonderful things happening at the University. Family Weekend will be held Friday, Sept. 27-Sunday, Sept. 29, 2024.

Homecoming is a longstanding Villanova tradition that welcomes alumni, families and friends back to campus for a wonderful fall weekend of activities. The schedule for Homecoming 2024 will be announced in the spring. 

Commencement and the weeks leading to it are meant to honor and acknowledge each of our graduates. The many Villanova-sponsored Commencement events bring plenty of emotions and hopes of a successful future for our graduates. The schedule for Commencement weekend will be mailed to the address on record for each graduate, but you may also view the Commencement website for updates and information.

Reunion is a special time to reconnect with old friends, make new ones, share memories and come together as a Villanova community. Normally held each summer in June, Reunion is a time to reflect on how Villanova’s community inspired alumni and friends to explore their passions, realize their dreams and pursue excellence.
