ACADEMIC SCHOOL YEAR HOURS

24 hours a day
7 days a week

Please use our self-scheduling portal or call our front desk at 610-519-4070 to schedule an appointment. Weekend appointments are available but must be scheduled via phone.

Visits to the Student Health Center are covered under the Health and Wellness fee (each semester) incurred by full-time undergraduate and law students. Students are financially responsible for the costs of any laboratory tests, some over-the-counter medications, and all prescription medications.

Part-time undergraduates, part-time and fulltime graduate students, BSN Express students, and other non matriculated summer students are not required to pay the Health and Wellness fee each semester but will be charged $25 for an office visit with a doctor or nurse practitioner.

The Student Health Center does not bill insurance companies, nor does the Student Health Center operate as a pharmacy. Local pharmacy information can be found on the Health Center Appointments and Services page.

Students who incur charges at the Student Health Center may request reimbursement from their insurance company. Please see below for more information on Billing.

The Student Health Center does not bill insurance companies. Should a student incur billable services at the Student Health Center (lab costs, prescription medications), the student has the option of paying via student account, VU Wildcard, cash or check.

Students wishing to obtain reimbursement from an insurance company should:

  • Request that the charges be applied to the student account
  • Submit payment to the Office of the Bursar when “Health Center Charge” appears on the Student Account Statement
  • Call the Student Health Center to request an itemized bill
  • Send the itemized bill to the insurance company

Once Health Center charges appear on the VBILL, students can request an itemized bill to submit to their insurance company for reimbursement.

Upon matriculation, students have the option of signing a consent form allowing Student Health Center providers to discuss care related issues with the students’ parents or legal guardians. In general, if the consent is signed, providers will discuss care issues with parents or legal guardians. If the consent is not signed, providers will explain this to the parent or legal guardian and refer the parent or guardian back to the student. Students may allow or revoke consent to speak with parents or legal guardians at any time.

If the visit is sensitive in nature, the provider will not discuss the issue with a parent or legal guardian without explicit permission from the student.

Medical records are kept by the Student Health Center for seven years following graduation or from the time the student left the University.

In order to obtain a copy of a medical record (e.g. Immunization History), please email or fax request to the Student Health Center at studenthealthcenter@villanova.edu.

The request should include the following information:

  • Your name, birth date, last 4 digits of your social security number
  • Today’s date
  • What specific information you are requesting
  • The year you graduated or left the University
  • Your daytime phone number and address
  • Your signature

We will then process your request and send your records once we receive the processing fee. There is a $10 processing fee for this service. If there is no medical record on file, you will be notified as soon as possible.

Make checks payable to Villanova University and send to: Villanova University, Student Health Center, HSB 3rd Floor, 800 Lancaster Avenue, Villanova, PA 19085.

The Student Health Center will take all appropriate precautions to mitigate the risk of transmission of COVID 19 to staff, students, and the Villanova Community. This includes utilizing guidelines and recommendations put forth by the Centers for Disease Control, the Pennsylvania Department of Health, the American College Health Association, and University Policies.

The Health Center will continue to be staffed and operational 24/7 for emergent needs. But ALL patient visits, including those with a nurse after hours, will be by appointment only.
