UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS IN EDUCATION AND COUNSELING

Students engage in classroom discussion.

Our undergraduate education programs foster essential knowledge, skills and dispositions that allow our students to serve the diverse and individualized needs of their students, schools and communities.

Our undergraduate education programs prepare confident, inspired and caring educators who will lead professional lives exemplifying the intellectual and moral ideals embodied in the Catholic mission of Villanova University. Our secondary education teacher certification program is designed to prepare candidates to not only meet the Pennsylvania Department of Education certification requirements, but to be highly qualify teachers in their selected content area. Villanova University's Secondary Teacher Education program is approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) to prepare candidates for the 7-12 Instructional Level I Certification required to teach in Pennsylvania's public schools.
