Although the 6,501-seat Finneran Pavilion is often sold out, one seat always remains empty—The Lone Chair. This seat is symbolically reserved at every game as a tribute to those in the armed services who have lost their lives, have become prisoners of war or have been listed as missing in action. Bearing the POW/MIA emblem and the words “You Are Not Forgotten,” Villanova’s Lone Chair made its debut in 2018 to show gratitude for the service and sacrifice of all those who have gone and never come home.
