Distilling complex ideas and findings into succinct and accessible presentations for a general audience is a vital skill in academic research. Each November, a growing number of accomplished student researchers sharpen that skill at the Villanova Student Research Symposium—a showcase of student research and a foundational professional development experience.

Hosted by the Center for Research and Fellowships (CRF) for more than a decade, the symposium gives students the opportunity to share their scholarly work with more than 400 attendees through scientific posters or oral presentations. Many of the presenters receive Villanova Undergraduate Research Fellowships or other fundings from CRF to support research. Several also publish their findings in Veritas: Villanova Research Journal, a peer-reviewed undergraduate research publication released annually at the symposium.
