Nova Now, Villanova’s mobile application, now features the ability to use your finger print to sign-in to important areas like grades, class schedule, and more. This feature is available for both iOS and Android versions. For more information visit HERE.
Instructional Technologies is currently evaluating Learning Management Systems and has scheduled for LMS vendors (Blackboard, Desire2Learn, and Instructure) to be on campus to present to Villanova in September. Please see the September calendar for scheduling HERE.
Welcome Back Villanova Community and Welcome Class of 2021! UNIT offers the following technology and services to Students, Faculty and Staff to assist in starting the Fall 2017 Semester:
Freshmen and Upperclassmen Move In - UNIT’s TechZone at Vasey will be open for extended hours for freshman and Upperclassmen move-in the weekend of 8/18, as well as having satellite locations on South Campus to assist setting up and connecting technology. TechZone – Students, Faculty and Staff having any technical problems can contact the Villanova TechZone, located in Vasey Hall room 101, Ceer 209, and at the Villanova Law School. Walk-ins are available 9-7 Monday-Thursday, 9-5 Friday, or users can call the Helpdesk at 610 519 7777, email at firstname.lastname@example.org, or chat at unit.villanova.edu

UNIT has enabled Skype for Business for usage outside Villanova. Skype meets instant messaging and chat communication needs. It is accessible from Office 365 located at office.villanova.edu. With this new feature, Villanova Skype users can chat and make voice or video calls to Skype for Business users at other institutions or anyone using Skype for Consumers . Watch this video for steps on how to add external contacts to your Skype for Business Contact List.
The best protection is to limit what you post. The more friends or contacts you share with, the more likely that information will become public. You should assume anything you post can or will become a public and permanent part of the Internet.
Be aware of what friends are posting about you. If they post something you are not comfortable with, ask them to take it down. If they refuse or ignore you, contact the social media site and ask the site to remove the content for you. At the same time, be respectful of what you post about others.
