The Web Services and Technology and Operations Departments recently migrated all .net web applications from servers residing at the Law School and Engineering buildings to a new secure virtualized environment. This new environment helps to foster a secure environment that effectively supports Engineering applications such as major selection, academic standing, AP credit, and the CAPP(Curriculum, Advising, and Program Planning) request tracking system. The Law School application migration included digital signage, exam database, website forms, survey software, building directory, and room scheduling software.
The Villanova University School of Law Admissions and UNIT have collaborated to build a process for communicating & payment options for their prospect students. Prospective Law School students will receive access where they can pay their deposits and view Financial Aid information online. The new process introduced the BRM recruit tool which allows the Law School to send targeted emails to the applicants. The invitation email targeted to the applicants will allow them to create their prospect portal accounts.
A new web component & template has been created to display weather alerts onto the Villanova Homepage. This alert component will be used for just Weather Alerts for now – but has the capability to be expanded in the future for other types of alerts.

The Villanova Graduate Tax Program and UNIT have collaborated to create an online application and inquiry form for the office. This marks the 5th and final college to institute this process for online applications. This enhancement has streamlined the process for the applicants and improved the process for the office. The automation also allowed the Grad Tax program to be represented in the recent Graduate School Open House. The Graduate Tax Program has seen an increase interest and is expecting to see increased numbers of applicants. This online application coincides with the launch of the Online Graduate Tax Programs. Please see the announcement of the Online Graduate Tax Programs HERE.
