Collaborate & Communicate

Communicating and collaborating across campus or around the world can be challenging. The University has in place key enterprise technology that fosters communication for research, day to day work, and teaching and learning.

All faculty staff and students have a Zoom Pro Account. Zoom can be used for synchronous video, voice, content sharing, and chats and seamlessly integrates with Blackboard and Outlook. Zoom meetings can be recorded to the cloud or uploaded MyMediasite for archived viewing. Additional information and training are available here.

Microsoft Teams - Teams can be used to collaborate and communicate with your department. Teams provides the ability to chat, host video meetingsshare and store files, and integrate applications. There is a wide array of applications that can be integrated and include: Wiki, PowerPoint, OneNote, and so many more. If you’re new to Teams, you can learn more about it in this introduction video, or check out these additional training videos

Office 365 provides access to Outlook Online to help you stay connected to mail even when you’re not at your computer, as well as, to assist in collaborating and sharing documents.

Campus phones can forward to off-campus phones, and voicemail can be accessed via the web or with the Avaya app or via
