The Emerging Leaders Institute (ELI) hopes to deepen students' understanding of their own leadership identity by exploring various leadership models and skills. Students will reflect on their own values and strengths, as well as areas within their leadership style that may need development. This two-day workshop will also challenge students to be socially responsible leaders who demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, the ability to empower others, and an openness to creating change! We cover topics such as:
- Personality Types
- Leadership Dynamics
- Public Speaking and Mock Interviewing
- Building Self-Confidence
- Creating a Leadership Action Plan
Students will work closely with other emerging leaders through in-depth simulations. By identifying their unique strengths and articulating their personal/professional vision, students will be able to identify several leadership paths at Villanova. Participants who attend both sessions will receive a signed certificate of completion as well as ELI T-shirt. Dinner is also provided both days.
