Senior Update 3-25

Dear Seniors,

In light of current circumstances, the VU Seniors Committee would like to provide updates regarding University-sponsored events designed specifically for members of the undergraduate Class of 2020. We hope this e-mail can answer some of your questions.

Senior Week

The Office of Student Involvement will provide full refunds to all students who purchased Senior Week tickets. We will begin processing refunds within the next month. This procedure will differ for students depending on their initial method of payment:

  • Students who purchased tickets using credit/debit cards will be refunded through the system. Credit/debit card refunds will take 7-10 business days to be processed. If you purchased tickets using this method of payment, expect to see a refund on your account by April 10.
  • Students who purchased tickets using cash or Wildcard will be refunded by check or electronic payment. A representative from the Office of Student Involvement will reach out in the coming weeks to confirm your home address and electronic payment information. If you paid for Senior Week tickets by cash and/or Wildcard, expect to receive reimbursement by check or e-payment by the end of April.

Please contact with any questions regarding VillanovaTix and Senior Week ticket purchases. Do not reach out to VillanovaTix directly as they will only forward your message to us.

On May 15, 2020, the day of Villanova’s scheduled Commencement, University President, the Rev. Peter Donohue, O.S.A. will confer degrees via an online event. When it is safe to gather, we will celebrate the Class of 2020 in-person at Villanova. We are currently exploring dates and will share details as soon as plans can be finalized.

Additionally, all graduates received an email on March 24, 2020 from requesting information. Some of the information requested will be used so your cap and gown can be mailed to you. Please be sure to view this email and update your graduation registration with the information requested.

If you have specific questions about Commencement, please reach out to

Senior Class Gift

The $5 Senior Class Gift Donation included in the Senior Ball ticket purchase price will be refunded to students. Please contact if you have additional questions.

Career Center
The Career Center is hard at work to help with your career and professional development needs.

  • The Senior Job Meetup, scheduled for Friday, May 8, is now virtual! This special event is designed to support our graduating seniors and help identify job and other post-graduate opportunities. During the Senior Job Meetup, students will engage with employers, hear about openings and learn valuable professional development strategies—now and for a lifetime.
  • Online career resources are still available for use, including job search and application processes through Handshake. Employers are posting new positions daily.
  • Students can schedule a virtual appointment with the Center's Career Counselors and Industry Advisors though Handshake, and will meet remotely via Zoom. Students do not need a Zoom account to sign in—it’s super easy!
  • To remain informed on the status of events and programming, check Handshake and RSVP to events of interest. Many employers are scheduled to host or participate in Villanova-sponsored virtual events throughout the remainder of the semester. Students who register on Handshake will receive alerts with updated event details.

Helping you prepare for the next steps in your career journey is our top priority. For the latest news and information from the Career Center, please visit our website.
