The Villanova Band is open to all students and no auditions are required to participate!
Band Camp Registration is now closed.
If you missed the deadline, you are still welcome to participate in the Band this semester, starting with our first rehearsal on August 26th. To sign up for fall semester participation, contact Elizabeth.Sokolowski@villanova.edu.

For those who registered, please read all information below about your report day/time for Band Camp 2019!
Band Camp provides the band time to prepare music and performances for pep band/stand music and football games.
Band Camp is a great opportunity to quickly get involved in college life. New students and upperclassmen alike will spend an intensive few days preparing for the new year and for New Student Orientation. Music is learned, lasting friendships are made, performances, tours, and other activities are planned.
For many, this is a continuation of performing experiences from high school. For others, this may be an opportunity to explore or revisit an instrument or a love of music that was left behind years before. For still others, it might be the first time in a band.
After Band Camp all new students will attend Student Orientation.
New Students - Move-in for all new students who registered for Band Camp is on Sunday, August 18th, from 9am-1pm. You will move into your regular dorm room for the year. Room keys may be picked up in the lobby of St. Mary’s beginning at 9am. Meals are included during band camp.
At 1:30 pm there will be a brief welcome & introductory meeting for new students & parents in St. Mary’s Chapel followed by a light lunch at 2pm. First rehearsal for new students will begin at 3pm in the band room.
Parents are strongly encouraged to return for Parent Orientation on 8/22/18 if at all feasible.
VU Band Executive Board, Appointed Positions, and Section Leaders: Move-in on Friday, August 16th. Our first day of meetings/preparation for 2019-2020 will be on Saturday, August 17th from 10am-4pm in the band room. Lunch will be provided.
Drum Majors and Pep Directors: Move-in on Friday, August 16th. On Saturday, August 17th you will have a full-day workshop with Ben Godwin from 10am-4pm. Please meet in the band room. Lunch will be provided.
Sophomore/Junior/Senior DRUM SECTION: Move-in on Friday, August 16th. On Saturday, August 17th you will have a full-day workshop with Nick Costa from 10am-4pm. Lunch will be provided. Sunday, August 18th: Drum Section rehearsal from 12pm-3pm.
All other returning Band Members - Plan to move in on Sunday, August 18th beginning at 9am. First rehearsal for full VU Band is Sunday, August 18th from 7pm-9pm.
Cost - There is a $100 fee to help offset the cost of meals. This charge will appear on your University Bill.
Sunday, August 18th: Full-band rehearsal 7pm-9pm
Monday, August 19th: Full day/evening of band camp
Tuesday, August 20th: Full day/evening of band camp
Wednesday, August 21st: Morning rehearsal/end of band camp
If you cannot attend Band Camp or if you missed the band camp registration deadline, you can join us when school starts. Regular rehearsals begin Monday, 8/26, 6PM - St. Mary's Hall Band Room. The band rehearses on Monday and Tuesday nights during each semester from 6-8pm. We provide large instruments: Drums, Low Brass, and Low Woodwinds.
